The assignments helped him build the foundational financial and leadership skills that he had not learned on the job or in his previous degree program.
The curriculum also improved his industry acumen, which boosted his self-assurance and prepared him to interact more professionally with those in executive positions. “Previously, I would walk into meetings with people in finance using lingo that I didn’t fully understand. I couldn’t quite follow the conversations because they were outside my area of expertise,” he admitted. “Now, I’m confident to walk into those situations because I know what they’re talking about. I know those words. That helped me carry myself more confidently.”
Studying with people from various locations, industries, ages and backgrounds further enriched Jonathan’s learning experience. “We had quite a diverse pool of classmates. We shared our knowledge through discussion posts and assignments,” he said. “There was more networking in the online program than I anticipated. We connected quite a bit, which carried on outside the program.”
Jonathan, who graduated from the resume-boosting MBA program in November 2024, feels ready to apply the confidence and network he built to help him pursue the next level of his career.
